I’m thinking about this a lot because my annual TRIBAL event is coming up soon, and I’ll be working with some of the most brilliant thought leaders and agents of change on the planet. And every one of them – and you if you work to make the world a better place – is going to be surrounded by people who give you permission to stay the way you are.

If ever there was a time for hope, it is now.  You may be feeling overwhelmed right now, anxious or disconcerted.  Perfectly understandable.  There’s a lot going on right now, and media and your social feeds are probably in hyperdrive to report it all to you.  But they can’t extinguish hope.

Twenty years ago, I had dozens of friends.  Or what I thought were friends at that stage in my life.  In reality, none of those people were ones I could count on, or really become close with.  Kind of like all those Facebook friendships you’ve probably developed.

Most people spend their life searching for answers.  But I find that searching for better questions produces much better results.  The only caveat is that if you ask the wrong question, the answer is irrelevant.  Or even misleading.
