I’m pretty sure the most overused and overhyped expression in advertising is the claim that someone or something will “change your life.” Even as you read this there are radio commercials airing stating that a particular brand of underwear, hair coloring, and even a floor desk mat will change your life. Seems a little melodramatic, don’t they?
In my experience, the most meaningful changes in your life come about because you decide to change something about yourself…
When you mindfully and deliberately make a change in your life – lose 40 pounds, decide to adopt a child (or a rescue), go back to school, become an entrepreneur, get married, etc. – you’re making a conscious decision to reinvent yourself. And I believe it is this willingness to reinvent yourself that allows you to be healthy, happy, and prosperous.
If you’re wondering why more people aren’t healthy, happy, and prosperous, it’s precisely because they actively shun reinvention in their lives, choosing instead to fight ferociously to stay the way they are. They subconsciously choose to live a life without enlightened meaning, because they are fearful of change, looking for instant gratification, and commitment phobic. They experience life like they are riding a roller coaster. Or if they’re really fear-based, the ride with the rotating teacups. Either way, to them life is just a ride they are on – a ride with someone else at the controls who decides the scope, scale, safety, and speed of the ride.
You might think your body and circumstances control your thoughts, but it’s actually the opposite.
Enlightened, self-actualized people create their lives by the power of thought. If there is a limit to the power of thought, no one has discovered it yet. Unfortunately, few unleash this unlimited power in their lives. For most of us, by the time we have reached our teenage years, we’ve become conditioned into being victims of circumstance. Things “happen” to us and we react to them. The moment you accept this, you enter the Matrix. You’re no longer living your authentic life but are acting out a counterfeit version under outside control. Your environment dominates you and you’re probably subjugated by victimhood and fear.
Unfortunately, many stay in this state of consciousness for their entire lives…
They follow the blind impulse of their dominant thoughts, with no critical thinking about where those thoughts come from or how they were exposed to them. Most of their actions and behavior are simply knee-jerk reactions to the stimulus of external things like marketing manipulation, gossip, religious dogma, government misinformation, and people with questionable motives. They are slaves of these thoughts provided by others, obeying the impulse of the moment, concerned only with avoiding pain or seeking immediate gratification.
You are not meant to stay at this stage. Hell, you’re not meant to even visit it. You were born to become a catalyst: to love, learn, create, and evolve. You were born to be rich and prosperous. But this requires self-awareness. You can’t live a meaningful, joyous, and prosperous life unless you live it in continuous evolution and reinvention. Anything less is you hibernating in a neutral state of stasis or sliding backward toward mediocrity.
As Joseph Campbell famously said, “The fates lead him who will; him who won’t they drag.”
To live the highest possible version of your life you have to intentionally seek out a continuous progression of escalating challenges – then doing the difficult work of trial, growth, and self-development of overcoming them. The things you get from introspection and evolution are great. But the best reward is who you become.
Iron sharpens iron; it doesn’t sharpen Jell-O.
If you also believe life is about continuous growth, working every day to become the highest possible version of yourself, then I have some very exciting news to share with you. My new book, Radical Rebirth has just been released and it will guide you through the reinvention or rebirth process you need to go through to take a quantum leap forward toward a prosperous life. You’ll discover the limiting beliefs that are holding you back, blow them up, and replace them with empowering ones. You will begin a perpetual cycle of incremental improvement – an ongoing quest to evolve into the highest possible version of yourself.
You’re a candidate for a Radical Rebirth if you:
If any of the statements above apply to you, this book may be the most impactful one you ever read. Really.
Hopefully, by now you realize that the majority of the programming you’re receiving daily is designed to keep you ignorant, sick, needy, victimized, lonely, and/or broke. The key to creating a new you – one that you like to hang out with – is identifying the limiting beliefs you created from that programming and replacing them with empowering ones. There are six areas of core, foundational beliefs that determine your self-esteem and the levels of happiness and success you achieve. They are:
In the book we’ll explore each of these categories and you’ll learn the most common beliefs in that area that hold you back, and how to replace them with beliefs that empower you.
However, it’s only fair to warn you…
Radical Rebirth could cause you to quit your job, divorce your spouse, open a record store, fall in love with yourself, hitchhike across a continent, accept your true sexuality, change your career, get a tattoo, renounce your religion, adopt a rescue, leave a relationship, start a movement, end a movement, become a tech billionaire, move to an ashram in India, forgive someone, forgive your parents, forgive yourself, or…all of the above.
There are random acts, but no random lives. Your life (whether we’re discussing the old one or the reboot you desire to create) is the harvest of the thoughts you give precedence to. Because from those thoughts you develop core beliefs, and then those beliefs create your vision, and the level of self-esteem you possess.
You don't manifest prosperity to the degree you are worthy of it. You manifest prosperity in direct proportion to the degree you believe you are worthy of it.
That’s why I want you to devour Radical Rebirth. Because every day of your life you must wake up and subconsciously answer the following question:
How much joy, happiness, and prosperity can I possibly put up with today?
It doesn’t serve you to be timid, dream small, or settle for mediocrity. This book is really the culmination of my life’s work thus far and it’s my wish that it reaches everyone who is ready for the message. If my work has been helpful to you at any time in your life, I’m humbly requesting that you please grab a couple copies here and gift one to a library or loved one.
