Thank God it’s Monday!  Let’s get after it…

Some, but not many of you, are old enough to remember when we got news by newspaper, a day or two after it happened.  Just that brief time lag provided a hidden benefit:  We didn’t think every calamity was going to end the world, because we already knew the world had survived.

But today, in this age of 24-hour cable news channels and social media platforms desperate for attention…

Every possible chance is taken to frighten or anger you, convince you to click the bait on the catastrophic disaster they want you to believe threatens your existence at that very moment. As you begin another week, be mindful of this racket they're playing on you and choose not to participate.  Same thing with all those emails and text messages that may have piled up from work over the weekend.  They distort your view of the world and it can affect your mood, self-esteem, and confidence.  Even cause you to make decisions that are harmful to you.

Take a breath, turn off your devices when need be, and focus on a solid productive path for where you want the week to end up.  You'll have a greater chance of getting there.
