In yesterday’s post I said poverty was a sin. Not surprisingly a few of you took umbrage to that. But I stand by the statement. Here’s why:
First I should clarify I don’t think it’s a sin to be born poor. But it is a sin to stay that way.
Now it also would help if we define what sin actually means. Of course most people would go with some kind of Biblical frame of reference for this. But if you go back to the original Bible, which was written in Aramaic, the actual translation of sin means to “miss the mark.”
If you are a student of the Course in Miracles, then you know they would define sin as a lack of love. I’m okay with either of these translations. Because I believe that when we live in lack, we are missing the mark and missing the love our creator has for us.
When you are prosperous you are hitting the mark and accepting the love you are meant to have. That’s why I say you were born to be rich. So you up for that? If you are, here's a follow up post: https://randygage.com/poverty-is-a-sin/
