(Monday Mojo 1/23/23)
Thank God it’s Monday! Let’s get after it…
A lot of people come up to me after speeches or contact me through the blog and social media complaining that they have a fear of failure that is paralyzing them. Most of the time upon deeper analysis the truth is revealed…
What’s really holding them back is not fear of failure – but fear of success.
This comes from worthiness issues, low self-esteem, being abused, and other scenarios that cause guilt, timidness, and imposter syndrome. Those limiting beliefs only work if you buy into them. When you stare in the mirror, that person looking back at you has such extraordinary potential it can frighten you.
Approach that potentiality with awe, not fear.
P.S. If you are up for some extra homework about taking responsibility for your own success, read what has probably generated more feedback than any other blog post out of the 10,000+ I have written thus far: Are You Ready to Be Amazing?
