People seek prosperity constantly. But this is a futile course of action, because searching for prosperity is the equivalent of a fish swimming in the ocean looking for water.
Superficially it can appear like the world is a very dark place. But the vast majority of people on the planet are good. And want to do good for others.

But self-mastery, like mastery of any kind, means excelling above most others, achieving the highest levels of effort, practice and execution. Being willing to sacrifice to be the best. And once you attain this kind of mastery, it shows.
