It took about two years to figure it out, but once I did, everything changed. It all began in April 2020, with the Covid lockdowns…
Within three weeks, more than one million dollars worth of business on the books evaporated on me. Poof!
On top of that, there were people counting on me to get them through the situation. (More than a couple.) I can look back on that now with extreme gratitude and celebrate that I had the resources to help those who needed it.
But for the first time in decades, I took money out of my retirement accounts, used credit lines, and had my net worth decline instead of increase.
But that’s not the confession.
Taking a hit on my balance sheet shouldn’t be a big deal, because even with a lower net worth, I was still wealthy…still doing better than 95 percent of the planet.
Here’s the confession I’m ashamed to tell you …
I bought into the negative mind viruses. Doubted myself, doubted if I could make it back, doubted if my future was going to be greater than my past.
After more than 30 years of studying (and teaching!) the principles of prosperity – I allowed poverty consciousness to infect my thinking. Took almost halfway through 2023 to blow up those limiting beliefs and send them back to the nothingness from where they came.
A funny thing happened…
The second half of 2023 crushed. My retirement fund jumped 38 percent in 2024. And I already have enough biz booked and passive residual income to make 2025 my best year yet. But I’m not writing to tell you that…
This post is about you.
To beseech you: Don’t make the mistake I made. Don’t buy into the bullshit. Don’t give away your power to poverty consciousness.
Even though the pandemic is over, the government, education system, organized religion, and datasphere are still assaulting you with thousands of limiting beliefs daily.
- They want you to believe money is finite. It’s not.
- They tell you that the important thing is what you do for a living. They don’t understand that the important thing is what you do while you’re living.
- They want you to believe time is money. That’s true only for broke people with ignorance of the principles of prosperity. Wealthy people use money to buy back our time.
- They warn you about the “get rich quick” schemes. But they forget to alert you to the “stay broke for life” schemes.
You were meant to be healthy, happy, and prosperous.
Please. Read that last message again.
I’ve taken Greyhounds and flown private. I’m sure this will shock you to learn this, but one is better than the other. Going from broke to wealthy, and then my short period of doubt, I’ve learned some insights about prosperity. Please allow me to counterprogram against the negativity that society is trying to sell you. Remind you of your potential. And share the prosperity insights that transformed my life the most.
You up for that? Here we go…
There is nothing noble or spiritual about being poor. Poverty sucks. It causes people to lie, cheat, steal, even kill.
Money doesn’t buy happiness, but neither does poverty. The best thing you can do for the poor, hungry, and exploited is not being one of them.
Money won’t solve all your problems. But it will solve the money problems!
All prosperity is created in the mind first. First it is created in the mind of a dreamer or visionary, and then manifested on the physical plane.
Abundance begins with your mindset. Poverty is not the absence of money and material things, and prosperity is not an abundance of money and material things. Both conditions are a state of consciousness.
When the victim is ready, the calamity will appear. Wealthy people think differently than poor people. Healthy people think differently than sick people. Happy people think differently than depressed people.
Don’t allow anyone to sell you their limiting beliefs. If you want to become wealthy, don’t take financial advice from broke people.
Your prosperity grows only as fast as you do. Prosperity is achieved by the ongoing process of letting go of who you have been, to become who you are meant to be.
Wealth is created 3 ways:
- Adding value
- Solving problems
- Envisioning possibilities
Leverage is a superpower for creating wealth. You must escape trading hours for money. Learn with your time. Earn with your mind.
Money itself does not equate to prosperity. Money is a convenient medium for exchanging value. The relevant variable is the value you create for the universe – which can then be exchanged for the things you need and desire.
Money at its very essence is energy vibrations. And all energetic things can be attracted or repelled. If you disparage money and material things, you will repel them.
The more prosperity you perceive, the more you receive. Live in gratitude. Bills are simply invoices for blessings you’ve already received. Pay them with thankfulness.
Potential prosperity exists as a metaphysical substance, which is present everywhere in the known universe. We convert it to physical form through the catalyst of thought energy – or more specifically – ideas. In terms of practical application, that means your ability develop ideas to solve problems, add value, or envision possibilities. The value you provide the universe (your ideas) determines your level of prosperity.
Your potential prosperity is limitless. There are no limitations on your potential, because there are no limits on the number of ideas you can come up with.
No one ever has a money shortage. You might think you have a money shortage, but it’s really an idea shortage.
You can bend the universe to your will. When you create a powerful enough vision in your subconscious mind, it generates the ideas to achieve it in your conscious mind.
Governments do not create prosperity. At best, they can facilitate it. Usually, they squander it. Prosperity is manifested by dreamers through the power of ideas.
All forms of true prosperity are infinite, and once manifested on the physical plane, create their own expansion. This is demonstrated by examples such as health, love, happiness, joy, even money. If you give someone a hug, does that reduce the number of hugs you have left? With all forms of prosperity, the more you circulate, the more you receive back.
The engine that attracts money is the value you create. When you share your talents and gifts they expand and become stronger, expanding your prosperity.
Prosperity is not an either/or. Because all forms of prosperity are infinite, it is not required for others to have less, for you to manifest more. You can buy that Bentley and support the orphanage.
Prosperity is restricted when you hoard it. Use water as an analogy. The spring water coming down a mountain is pure. In a pool it stagnates. When you circulate prosperity, it multiplies.
Your prosperity is defined by how you live while you are here, and the gifts you leave behind. We all die, even prosperous people. The goal is to die in peace and harmony, having more treasured memories than unfulfilled dreams. And that won’t happen if you buy into the negativity society is trying to sell you. Stop playing small. Stop being timid. Be bold and accept the abundance that is your birthright!
Peace,
- RG

BOOM! I'm So grateful for your brilliant reminder Randy. I've spent my life exploring my own mind - its programming, its dreams and its desires, its FEARS. Why I went into mind coaching - the power if our minds is beyond anything we've been taught or dreamed of. We are energy, and energy attracts energy. We create our realities with our focus and attention.
You are so amazing at sharing your wisdom, the perceptions and facets you see and your experiences. As you know, I recently found myself back in scarcity mindset, across my whole darned world. Me, the girl everyone says creates magically and who is always positive! Yup, the world and its insanity got to me, I doubted myself, my life, my direction, my purpose, and especially my worth.
It didn't happen quickly, it took tiny pieces of my confidence, my knowing and yes, scarcity became the focus of my mind. So I created what I was focusing on...
BLESS YOU for this post. As always, I am oh so grateful. Now, back to self development I go, happily!
It’s incredible how you could summarize all the knowledge you learned through out the years in such a short story.
I could relate to your confession but rather not share how dumb I was.
Thank you for sharing I appreciate anything that comes from you. I recently repurchased your Prosperity Album, this time in digital version (audio) and I am still amazed hearing things I missed. I first came across to this album 18 years ago and since then my life changed forever.
Thank you for being who you are! Looking forward to next book.
Where can I purchase the Prosperity Album in digital version? I also purchased the prosperity album many years ago but the tapes cassettes have worn out some also broke. lol I would love to purchase the Prosperity album in digital version.
Randy, this article hit me like a lightning bolt! Every point you made resonated deeply, but these five especially struck a chord:
1️ Prosperity requires letting go—shedding limiting beliefs to step into the person we were truly meant to be.
2️ Gratitude as the foundation— last night when I closed my eyes I said thank you to G-d form the electric bill!
3️ Not either/or, but AND—wealth, success, and happiness are not trade-offs. I “used” to have that mindset.
4️ Stop playing small—the world needs us to step up, own our power, and make an impact.I love thinking & dreaming BIG.
5️ Die all used up, no regrets—what’s the point of holding back when we’re here to give, grow, and leave a legacy?
This was a wake-up call to embody true prosperity—not just in money, but in how we live, give, and show up. Thank you for this powerful reminder! Zelda
Financial security isn't everything, but it certainly alleviates many stressors. Resources provide access to better healthcare, education, and opportunities. Lack of funds can create significant obstacles and limit choices. While happiness isn't solely derived from wealth, it's undeniable that money plays a practical role in overall well-being. A healthy financial foundation can provide stability and peace of mind!
Thank you for our conversation today and sharing this blog. The principles are timeless and spot on.
I do appreciate this reminder of the potential each person has. I accept it and am thankful for the counterprogram against negativity offered in this post. I am grateful for the opportunity to clarify my thoughts by leaving comments on this blog.
This post makes me think about manifestation theory, which blends philosophy and self-development. Equally crucial is the perception of the role a guru plays in it.
In Aristotle's terms, potentiality (the energy of a thought) turns into actuality (a dynamic that is currently happening) through the action taken by a person. Effort is the bridge that moves potential into reality. "The Universe can only do for you what can be done through you" (Prosperity Secret #34). This means that nothing is free or magical. Only when a person puts in the effort good can be acquired. Dreams are not granted, but built.
A guru (a teacher who provides guidance) is an example of an external force that can help only in accordance with a person's actions. However, gurus are human and have their imperfections, so blindly following a guru's teachings does not guarantee success. Moreover, it can lead to enslavement. A good teacher does not encourage obedience but rather helps individuals discover what works for their own path. That's why I am against emotional attachments or attractions to gurus, leaders, or teachers. We should respect their teaching, recognise and accept their contribution, but not worship them.
The real work must be done within one's own life, through the acceptance of inner power to change it.
Great points. Thanks for adding to the discussion
