As far as I am concerned if someone has the chutzpah to get off their butt and make loadsa money - good luck to them, they've earned it so why not enjoy it? We can all do it if we want to. And no, why should anyone work for free? It's about exchange of energy, if you are giving then the natural Law of Attraction decrees that you should receive. It's natural law and natural balance.
Re: frugal ministers - no, I do not think that poverty is next to Godliness. Perhaps if they taught more about God and the Universe's unlimited abundance they'd get more people in their churches/synagogues/mosques!
Re: Unions
Tricky one. I've personally seen them help empower individuals in corporations through their support, this confidence boost then led the employee/s to take bolder steps in their lives. However, I also feel that the majority of the time they keep people thinking that they are victims and they get to act all superior about it.
Have fun - are you enjoying the beer?

This richaphobic epidimic is spread by jealous parents, peers, and by the movies we see... TITANIC is a classic example of the poor being the hero and the rich being evil.
Pitiful.
The solution is "renewing the mind" - it's biblical and it is the key. Follow Randy and others that have MONEY and MORALITY - you can have both! We teach some of this in our free book at http://www.thesecondadam.com/freebook.html
Thanks Randy and God Bless!
I have to admit- I am significantly less likely to pull over for a rusty old Honda- cause I have a little twinge that says- you should have changed your tires with that Bingo and cigarette money. How wrong is THAT?
And the other comment I love to hear Randy is "We may not be rich but at least we're honest!" This somehow suggests that if you are rich then you had to be dishonest to get it. Of course CNN (constant negative news) is pandering to this thought process by reporting the fact that 73 AIG employees got at least 1 million dollars in bonus money. Thereby perpetuating the idea that the only way to make alot of money the old fashion way is to steal it. And Jesse James had to wear a mask. Then there is our friend Bernie Madoff who for now goes down in the Guinness Book of World Records for the biggest ponzy scheme in history yet one could argue that the biggest crooks out there right now are our trusted public servants, members of the Congress and Senate, who are spending money like kids on crack. We are constantly being bombarded by this lack and limitation programming and thanks to Randy I have been "mindful" of this.
Hi Randy,
thanks for sharing your thoughts how People destroy their financial future by thinking negative about making money.
WRONG OR RIGHT - IT'S FUNNY.
Ok, yes- some of these examples I agree with Randy- on the jealousy and resentment for people's wealth is probably keeping one from it.
However, let's not pretend like rich people are all so benevolent either.
YES- unions are formed to protect workers from SOME of the evil corporations. YES- regulation IS needed to prevent monopolies. History has shown that over and over- where have you been?
Sometimes you talk like anyone earning over a certain amount has a halo over them, and the ones who don't are all greedy, whiny, do-nothings...
Talk about victimhood!
Cool post Randy - I see it all too often people saying rich people are lying, thieving, backstabbing & controlling MF's.
I'll admit I have my own issues - I don't eat caviar cos they are harvested live! And I'd never in a million years buy a fur coat - what with 90% of the world's fur coming from China where there are no animal protection laws. Horrible stuff happening!
But then I'm a vegan anyway, but yip money is wonderful - it buys you freedom and in my not so humble opinion it buys you happiness too.
Rich people make great friends - they are a source of inspiration. And besides I find them incredibly generous, they donate large amounts of money to things they believe are worthy of support. Their invitations to events/partys/dinners are sincere, fun and worthy of a memory.
I'm blown away by how you bring up the subject within hours of my thoughts. So many stereotypes, yet I have another one! The truth is, I realized that I have been asking for my "Daily Bread" and that is what I get! I have more money than I need, but I really would enjoy more freedom of choices. I am no longer amused by juggling money.
The fact is, as a child I was without money, but really was rich in imagination. My better friends were wealthy and I learned that all people deserve the benefit of the doubt, unless they are crooks. There are crooks at all levels, and there are hardships and sacrifice at all levels. My good fortune is that I was taught how good it is to use your imagination, don't make assumptions, and to each his own.
I do not want to be responsible for expensive belongings in my home. Does that mean I don't appreciate it for others? NO! I love to visit the friend with the designer home. Would I like to have more money ? YES! I want to take more trips and spend time with family.
I have to stop asking for "my daily bread", don't I?

The last 3 posts have stopped me in my tracks. The richaphobic is a real eye-opener. If you are one you will write a post. If not, you will enjoy your prosperity and love Randy's wisdom.
I think I used to hate wealthy people until I heard randy give a presentation. Rich people stay rich because they scratch each others back. How honorable is that. People are only broke because they don't know how to lend a hand!
I do think my husband and I are treated with more kindness on the road when we are in our Honda than when we are in our Mercedes! Our Honda has never been keyed, but our Mercedes has!
Abundance and prosperity is what we are.
What people see in others is a mirror of themselves.
Here is how I practice my Rich-magnatizm -attraction. (sounds odd, but ..). I acknowledge how ultimately rich I am. I literally breathe it in - in the morning and exhale those thoughts that are not supporting, etc.
The results are tangible. For example; I attended a local city council meeting that was full or richaphobies. The topic was all about a developeer who made a deal with the city that when he fulfilled his part of the deal, he would improve a building site, operate it, sell it and split the profits over the amount the city contributed - with the city. So the developer did what he negotiated and sold the building for $50million more that the amount thereby earning $25 million above and beyond.for both parties!!! The developer included ni that deal a city-owned piece of property to be given (free) to him to duplicate the deal again - yielding the city potential millions yet. The other local business and property owners were incensed that the city would give away that money and property and not spread it around. They called the benefit to the developer an fair subsidy - even though he had earend the money and thought ahead well enough to get it in writing! I was attending to support the excellent deal and relagated to the minority because of my support. The crowd was twittering and facebooking and wearing their team shirt and it was a big deal. Long story - but I had been looking for a developer to come to a certain area I work in. I was given a seat - lottery style - becasue of the huge crowd - I was placed next to another supporter - by "chance" - and we discussed how this was a great deal that we all would love to have been included in. blah blah - he's going to come and put a deal together - he's substantially financed and his family is renowed for their successful in-fill and my manifest-destiny continues. When you see the door mark - Rich-Phobes ONLY - make the choice to not go that way. That's rich!
Broke and poor people aren't necessarily benevolent either. It's not the money, it's the person. Money just makes you more of what you already are/were. And let's not confuse money and financial wealth with true prosperity.
People who work for companies that end up with unions have attracted a crappy workplace. It could be crooked managers or intimidating supervisors. That's the victimhood I think that Randy is really on about.
And what about all the government regulation that actually cause monopolies/oligopolies, like the airline industry for example?
How about the fur coat of an animal that is considered a pest and gets shot anyway? Wouldn't you rather see it put to good use rather than thrown away?
I have to admit that my instant reaction might well be the same. But I guess my second thought might be that the guy just spent his last few dollars buying a great book and that he was on his way up. Not likely I know, but definitely a possibility.
I'd really like to see a broken down Rolls Royce on the side of the road so that I would have an excuse to talk to them! I must say that so far I have never seen a beautiful car broken down though.
Hey Randy,
I am curious about what you think about the subvert and I would over negative programming being presented about rich people today in the midst of so-called economic crisis. The beliefs I am hearing from the media these days are:
Rich people are crooks/criminals (Madoff)
Rich people are bad (AIG execs)
Rich people did something bad to get their money (Bailout used for bonuses)
It is wrong to live wealthy in the midst of financial crisis (CEOS fly on jets)
Maybe I am the only one who has noticed this but I am curious about Mr. Gage and the people feedback on this. Peace to all.
Hi Randy, on the same continent this time!
Since I've read The Richest Man in Babilon. I don't classify people by that characteristic (having lots of money or not) any longer. They are just open or not, curious or not, friendly or not. Finding this out, I call a good start.
Best to you!
Natasa
My answer is "no" to all that you ask except the last two: 1) I understand that unions WERE created to protect the little guy from being victimized by big greedy corporations. How they function today, I don't know. 2) YES!! Government regulation is necessary to protect us from monopolies... it shouldn't be, but it is. Greed is a factor that takes Capitalism too far--it's shown its face in the news lately with when corporations fail to regulate themselves as in the mortgage finance business. Why were the gas prices so high? Hint: When corporations lie to cover their stance, that's a pretty good sign there is something amiss. While reporting record oil profits of 10s of billions per quarter, the one oil Exec stated "supply and demand". I watched the news with claims of a fire on ONE oil rig in the Gulf, or instability in Nigeria, as driving up the price... they could just as well have said it was a mosquito that landed on an oil tanker and slowed shipments, leading to a lack! The miniscule % of total oil volume affected cannot result in the degree of price change effected. After it was finally revealed that prices were in fact driven up by the speculators on Wall Street, govt threatened regulations and prices began to decline. But by then the price of other goods, like food and commodities, in general have been driven up by increased transportation costs and cost of living increase face rich and poor alike. I have more examples...does that make me richapohobic? I don't think so...perhaps your test questions are not ALL good indicators. Peace, Love and Prosperity to ALL!
In the celebrities, and wealthy people part, I believe they had it coming, but not because they had money but because they are lacking in other areas of their life!

It's all about awareness, isn't it? Having negative thoughts about money and abundance and those who have it is always going to show up in your life. And this can also pertain to non monetary riches like family, friends, position in the community. How can you receive and experience something you resist internally? As always, thanks for stirring up the conversation out here Randy.
Hey, Curtis, you gotta admit all your examples are hard folks to defend. But, there are plenty of wealthy execs doing the right thing; giving up bonus' they could rightly take, taking salary cuts to keep employees ect. If you're lucky you can find a paragraph about them buried somewhere. If it's a slow news day, maybe.
I think if your company is doing well, jump on that jet and enjoy the sleep of a child. If you are responsible for ruining some one else financially, either by greed or stupidity, then man up and take responsibility for it.
well ! that has stirred some brains to react...
I am right bang in the middle with the awareness of my lack culture and mu desire to free myself from it.
thanks Randy for making this call.
