This is what I once thought, but it was my ego talking – and there is no deal making where enlightenment is concerned. Removing emphasis from yourself is the easy way out, it is only through knowing yourself and what is going on within oneself that any form of enlightenment can happen. We cannot force enlightenment, nor can it be bought by doing good. We are all at different stages of development and seeking enlightenment can help raise our awareness – awareness is like a torch shining into the darkness of our Being helping to raise our consciousness level.
