You don’t really create your future. You create your daily habits, and they create your future. So the best way to improve your future, is swapping out a bad habit for a good one.
But that’s not always so easy to do.
Doing the same habit every day creates a pattern in your brain. Your thoughts follow the same neural pathway. And you’ve had some habits for years or even decades. So when it comes time to change how you act (and think) – you need to reverse thought patterns that live in heavily trafficked neural circuitry.
Old habits are jealous. When they're pushed aside, they fight to get back into your life. You have to treat them like psychotic ex-lovers.
And more importantly, you have to create a positive, powerful “pull” – a vision of the new reality you want to create. And to really make it stick, don’t just create the vision of what you want to create – create the vision of who you will become when you create it!
P.S. I’m back!!! I’m returning to my roots, when I wrote a new post every day. So check back here daily. Or enter your email in the “Stay Connected” box near the upper right, and get an alert when a new post goes up.
