There’s only one thing they never do…
Actually play a sport themselves. They live their whole life vicariously through the athletes they idolize; all the while they put on pounds, raise their cholesterol, and diminish their overall health.
In fact, attempting to do any of those things today – or others like them – will probably just lead you to failure, frustration, and set backs. You don’t have to accomplish your complete goal, dream or achievement today.
But if you allow yourself to be de-sensitized, you’ll miss out on a lot of modern-day miracles. Miracles that are happening all around us, in the moment.
You can set goals, craft a vision, think positive, make affirmations, burn incense, and watch The Secret every morning. But your life and results never change until you change your habits.
It’s true that money doesn’t buy happiness. But keep in mind something else: poverty doesn’t buy happiness either. What money does do – is allow you freedom, choices and personal expression, which can make you happier.
Sadly, too few people are aware of this. And I believe the no-stress situations are often worse than the acute stress ones. Because when you set up you life for no stress, you’re basically checking out. You’ve already died, but forgot to lie down.
