Pick Yourself

No, no one appointed you boss.  No one gave you permission.  No one picked you.

You have to pick yourself.

There are problems to solve, challenges to be overcome, injustices to be righted, destinies that need to be fulfilled, cures that need to be discovered, companies that need to be taken public, mountains that need to be climbed, kids that need to be adopted, and operas that need to be sung.

No one really gets appointed for that stuff.  They just make a decision to do it.  They decide they don’t need someone to pick them, they don’t need permission, and they don’t ever have to play small again.

You decide to pick yourself

Do you know Gandhi who has nothing to do with ‘money’ when he was alive, is on the currency notes in India. In a way it’s so befitting, he is the symbol of prosperity in it’s profundity.

  52. I believe that we´re all picked to solve something for ourselves first and I guess only if we made it, we´re truly capable of picking ourself.
For example: my brother was picked to first solve his aggressiveness, a girlfriend was picked to win each crossword puzzle she applies at (she DOES win each!), my dad was picked first to find out that he´s Amish and should search his real folks (honestly), I went out and walked ´til the end of my world to find out i was first (as a female of my “group”) and had to take it all …. and so many others have their tasks to afterwards pick themselves. You can tell as well, Randy: You were picked to chose the up-grade of your mom´s job first – interesting TOPIC!  😉

It has long been my experience that those how complain the most about life’s problems, also criticize the most when someone actually does something about those problems.
