It seems people track almost everything today. Certainly that can be helpful, because you know the actual status of the things that matter to you. The problem comes when you’re measuring the wrong things. And creating a poor focus...
You know how many relationships ended badly, the number of times something didn’t work, and you track every failure you’ve ever had. But have you given much thought to tracking the positive stuff – the times when things did work out; the successes and breakthroughs?
What you track will greatly determine the course you take and your probability for success at whatever that course is. So be mindful what you’re tracking.

Dan Sullivan of Strategic Coach has a great take on this. He points out that we don't just make up the future. We also make up the past. We can choose to recall positive triumphant events from the past and view all of our past events through an empowering lens. It's not the default setting in our minds, but it is more than worth the effort.
I'm tracking parcels and my bank account figures mostly. 🙂 Seriously though, it's a very important thing not to focus on irrelevant stuff, thanks RG for reminding us!
I have a booklet, which called "success book". As you might guessed, there is nothing in that booklet, just important successes, such as "gained money, confirmed contracts, possible contract requests" etc. And yes, even the "possible contact requests" are important, because this means a door opened for business. It might be going to close, but the fact is that it is currently opened.
This is helps me to focus exclusively on successes.
An other thing, when they says failures are important things, because that's how you learn. It partially true, but it is ignore the fact that you can learn a lot more from your successes. it is very possible, that you are going to do the right way first. Maybe, you don't have to learn the way towards it. The thing is, you can do wrong endless times, therefore you can learn the whole life from your failures, without making any successes. Not worth it! Try to learn from successes more, because every success is a stepping stone toward a bigger success.
