Hi Randy,
Thanks for shaking up the old brain cells, is the missing number 4? Yes I can defend my decision.
Yesterday we talked about developing new neural pathways in your brain. So since today is a lazy Friday, it’s a good time to exercise your brain cells. Here’s a mental challenge for you. The first person to solve it gets the prestige, fame and adulation of the millions or readers of my blog! Here’s your challenge:
Look at the pattern below and tell me what number should replace the question mark.
9 7 8 5
3 1 4 3
8 8 7 6
2 2 3 ?
Hit me with your best shot!

I think it is number 4. Correct or not :)?
Oops, when I posted my answer, I thought I was the first one sine no one left any comments. The internet is damn slow here, hmm.

4~
have an Amazing Blissful wknd~
9785 - 3143 = 6642
8876 - 3143 = 5733
6642 - 5733 = 909
8876 - 5733 - 909 = 2234
So the last number is 4
Everyone have an awesome weekend!
The missing number is 4 which give eacg equation a differnce of 12
Yeah I think 4.
can we get some more?
interesting morning awakening~
I believe the correct answer is 4.
Top to bottom logic
AND side to side logic
AND adding the 4 digits downwards
AND adding the 4 digits sidways
ALL call for a 4!
as to be number 4

Right - 4 comes up in many ways, including adding every two numbers to make a repeating pattern as such:
16 13
4 7
16 13
4 7
Hi Randy.... 4 seems the obvious answer.....but there is also a case for it being 2. So right or wrong...to be different I am going with 2...
Angie
I agree with 4.
My first instinct was 4 . But I will guess 0 . Just because it isn't there.
It's 4 - the patterns all add up to the want of the 4. That was fun - even though I know it's a great way to collect my addy.
how about a plain old zero
my answer is-- 0
4!!
The answer is definitely 4.
9 + 7 + 8 + 5 = 29
+ + + +
3 + 1 + 4 + 3 = 11
+ + + +
8 + 8 + 7 + 6 = 29
+ + + +
2 + 2 + 3 + four = 11
= = = =
22 18 22 18
got to be 4
I'm going to say 5 just to cause trouble 😛

42 😉
off course is a "2" just look at the patterns, duhhh
Hi, It`s 4 -
top line adds up to 29
2nd line adds up to 11
3rd line adds up to 29
4th line should add up to 11.
Yes me too. It is 4.
Okay yes the answer is 4. You get it by dividing all the numbers into four squares or 2X2 blocks. Each block of four numbers equals 20. If you got this, you’re very bright! Congratulations to Gregory who listed it first.

I think it is four (4) because the fisrt column the total is 22, the second is 18, the three is 22 .. so...the fourth column most be 18 also , so the ? is 4. But I think most be more than one relationship, .... y will still search y when i finded y tell yow!!!!
It's 2, since everyone said it was 4
In my analysis I see also a 4, and since there are so many ways to get the 4. Ill stick to 4.
Every which way points to 4!!
