You have more control over your life than you ever dare admit to yourself. You have more intestinal fortitude, innate power, and raw genius than you ever allow yourself to acknowledge.
There are lots of reasons for not being aware of your personal power. Our culture preaches humility, self-depreciating humor and fitting in with the herd. But that is a recipe for mediocrity.
Of course there’s also the issue of personal responsibility. If we think we’re powerless or not talented, we don’t have to take responsibility for living a mediocre life. We get to play victim with all the validation and emotional payoff that provides. But victimhood will never lead you to success, happiness and prosperity.
The only thing that gets you there is accepting your responsibility, acknowledging your gifts, and recognizing than you have an astonishing level of control over what happens in your life.
You have the power. Are you using it?

Accepting that you have full responsibility of your life is which gives power to your thoughts. It is also helps you to becoming a human being. You can't change your poverty if you think it is not you who caused it. Because it means it is not you, who can't change it.
who "can" change it. Randy, do something about editing my comment. I have no grammar skills.
Taking responsibility for grammar? 😉
I don't blaming anyone else (except the whole site for not being able to edit my comment), it was just a suggestion (which exactly sounded like an order).
Don't sweat it mate, we get your point. 🙂
