Validate Yourself

(Monday Mojo 9/11/23)

Thank God it’s Monday!  Let’s get after it…

As you go into the week, do yourself a favor and stop chasing validation from others.  That's empty calories.  The validation you really want is approval from yourself.  That's self-esteem.

Perhaps my biggest breakthrough was realizing that the person I was going to spend the most time listening to in life was myself. (That voice in my head.) The person you're probably going to spend the most time listening to is that voice in your own head. Do what you can to keep their respect.

  1. I read a good self-help tip last week, so much of our behavior and thoughts are automatic and neg.. this guy had a good suggestion, when you're pulling on your shoes, or shirt, taking a shower, say to yourself, you're awesome, millionaire etc.. works for me.. I find humor helps a lot too.. last fall after the NY food fest took a train across the country, I like the train, meet some cool people, see the country.. took a night off In Kansas City for some BBQ.. got back on next night and there was a guy who looked like Fat Bastard when we boarded. told that to a guy in the dining observation deck and we kept cracking up about it all the way to L.A... cheers Napa David
