The Things that “Really” Make You Happy

Posted By: Randy GageOctober 7, 2022

Welcome back to another edition of the award winning (not really) “Friday Filosophy” where each week I share something I’m thinking about – that you may want to think about.  Today that topic is happiness.

It’s crazy how we sometimes get such a distorted perspective of what true happiness looks like for us. Here are some of the misguided beliefs we hold versus the reality:

  • We think we’re happier when we’re receiving stuff, but we’re actually happier when we’re giving.
  • We think we’re happier when gorging on cake, ice cream, and cookies, but we’re actually happier when we eat healthy.
  • We think we’re happier when we have no responsibilities, but we’re actually happier when we have meaningful obligations.
  • We think we’re happier when we’re using alcohol and drugs, but we’re actually happier when we’re clean and sober.
  • We think we’re happier when others are expressing gratitude to us, but we’re actually happier when we’re expressing gratitude to others.

So what are you doing today to become a happier person?

Had some fun with the podcast this week.  Instead of telling you all the things you have to do for manifesting a prosperous life, we explore the "Not To-Do" list:

P.S. to all you speakers, authors, coaches, and consultants: Stop selling people and create market gravity to draw them to you instead. Every time you make a cold call, a kitten dies... http://ow.ly/gux350L2fbA
