You can spend your morning jog obsessing over if you’re burning enough calories or how long it will take to be ready to run a marathon. Or you can notice the scenery and slide into the runner’s high.
It’s important to have goals, dreams and a vision of where you want to go. Maybe even more importantly. to factor in who you want to become. But don’t let that take away from the moment – your journey along the way.
When you live in the past, your tormentor today is your Self, left over from yesterday. When you live in the future, you miss the moment. Learn from the past and intend the future. But remember to always celebrate the present.
