Your Ability to Learn...
So last week I ended with a post beseeching you that growth was your purpose in life. And of course a big part of growth is your ability to learn.
We are all born with a certain capacity for learning. Your genes do have an effect. The environment that you are raised in does help create positive or negative thought processes. However, your ability to learn can be developed. You can hone, improve, and accelerate your ability to learn. So success is not about the capacity you were born with, but how you choose to use it. (Or neglect it.)
Willingness to learn is a choice.
If you don’t know about something, that’s ignorance. No shame in that. We’re all ignorant in certain areas. But when you have an opportunity to learn and reject it, that’s stupidity.
So what are you doing with your capacity for learning?

Preach it brother!!
In most cases, people don't want to learn, because it can change them, and they don't want to change, because it is a proof that they aren't perfect. The more old are you, the harder to change. Nobody want's to face that the former 30 years was a mistake. So not willing to learn is often equal to not willing to change.
Having been "stupid" on many occasions, as I get older and read, listen or watch information from people like you, it is now easier to learn. As you mentioned in your "Risky is the new safe" book, our education systems do not prepare us for a lifetime of learning. Daniel points out that the older people sometimes find it harder to change. That is another side effect of our education systems. Thankfully there are people like you, as well as the legacies of Jim Rohn, Wayne Dyer and many others to help us older ones to replace our stupidity with growth.
Our education system does not teach us how to think, just what to think. It is a horrible cookie-cutter approach in regards to education.
Because they need drones. Drones can be controlled remotely, via television, news papers, and other media types. That's why they wants you to stay in poverty. A poverty drone are harmless to them.
Just as important as learning to read is being skeptical of what you read. Religion, our political system, many large corporations (look up astroturfing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fmh4RdIwswE), and news organizations do not want you to use critical thinking. Their whole existence and the way they currently control the masses is by feeding bullshit to the majority of people who they know will not think for themselves.
