Even if our mind understands this concept, our emotional side has profound effect too. For me it is difficult not to feel "bitter", "betrayed" , etc, when I reminisce on the past. So I found what works for me - do not go back to analyse why things happened to you. They already did, nothing you can do about it now, so I rather concentrate on what is happening today and what I want to be happening in the future. Perhaps, a bit of "head in the sand" technique, but it is what helps. And I did tried conventional ways of "analysis of resistance" before, but only got the self-guilt re-enforced. Of course, there is a chance, I am doing it all wrong 🙂

Look for the lesson and move on.
