Co-Creating Your Own Prosperity

What do the following statements all have in common?

  • It was going great until the recession hit…
  • Then the divorce happened, and I lost…
  • I knew it wouldn’t work. But my partner wanted…

You probably already figured it out.  These types of statements are spoken by people who want to play the victim card and feel that bad things always “happen” to them.  They never take responsibility for the trauma and drama continually swirling around them.  They live their lives in victim-hood.

There are things you have absolutely no control over.  A lightning bolt could come out of the sky and zap your treehouse.  But the amount of things that you have zero control over is usually a great deal less than you believe.  Because your thoughts and actions have a dramatic impact on what you attract, how people treat you, how you treat yourself, and what happens around you.

To manifest prosperity, you may have to redefine the way you see yourself.  You must recognize that you are not simply a recipient of what happens to you, but a co-creator.  How are you doing on this?

  1. Even if our mind understands this concept, our emotional side has profound effect too. For me it is difficult not to feel "bitter", "betrayed" , etc, when I reminisce on the past. So I found what works for me - do not go back to analyse why things happened to you. They already did, nothing you can do about it now, so I rather concentrate on what is happening today and what I want to be happening in the future. Perhaps, a bit of "head in the sand" technique, but it is what helps. And I did tried conventional ways of "analysis of resistance" before, but only got the self-guilt re-enforced. Of course, there is a chance, I am doing it all wrong 🙂
