I'm not 100% sold on the idea that "....the best reward of being rich – is who you have to become to get there." In my opinion....that's not necessarily a good thing.
I tend to agree with T Harv Eker, that becoming wealthy will make you MORE of who you already are. Generous people will become more generous. Nice people will become nicer. Arrogant jerks will become jerkier (his word, not mine) - and see the Entertainment Industry, including sports, if you doubt my word.
Incidentally, this doesn't reduce the VALUE that rich people deliver - it is only by delivering more value to more people that anyone can become richer. Wealthy jerks, esp. those in the entertainment industry, deliver great value! Why, the jerkier they are, the more valuable they are! Ain't it ironic.
However....
As I become richer (I'm in the process!) I will become even more beloved, respected and adored; I'm so fabulous already, that I can only become MORE fabulous! but that's just ME. It says nothing about what others will have to become, in order to become rich. Nope. I think the best reward of being rich is being rich. Bring it on!

@MrsHealthandProsperity Where is the boundary who is jerk and who is fabulous? Behind it... Ask anyone jerk (which you treated as jerk) : Is he a good man? And he no doubt will say- Yes. If someone looks like jerk in your eyes , maybe I find him as purposeful and courageous person. Each of us has something of good and something... we could improve. And the fact that you called somebody "jerk" , it means that you saw your own jerk's part reflection in him.

Well when I first read the question, my immediate thought was "Why not?" 🙂 After all, it's my birthright so why not own it and be able to live the dream I know is possible. And that includes using the money energy to empower others, especially if THEIR goal is to enrich, expand or change people's lives as is mine. So yes, by all means, why NOT be rich?.. Can we get a BOOM?

If "who you have to become" means working hard, being disciplined, focused, creative, brave, etc... then yes. That statement could be interpreted to mean lots of other things that could have significant negative implications. It's almost an incredible concept, but I suggest you tweak it so there's more clarity about what YOU mean by it.

Why be rich? So that you can GIVE BACK! There's
Why be rich? So that you can GIVE BACK! There's nothing better than giving to others or working with charities and non-profits. Heck, even starting your own non-profit organization, why not? And, it's better than having a J.O.B. and being Just Over Broke. I'd rather be able to give like crazy than be dirt poor or even filthy rich and keep it all to myself.I want to leave an inheritance to my children's children, know what I'm sayin? Maybe live on the beach and travel the entire world too. Why not?

So true. There are a million reasons to be rich, and most of them are not even selfish. There is so much more you can do when you have options - when you don't have to worry about money and the stresses that come from not having enough. Love it! Thanks!

Very True, with money you can Help Lots of People and Yourself which is important because if you don't take care of yourself you can't take care and or help others
